Science & Engineering Research Facility
Located in the core of the University of Tennessee's historic campus, the design of the Science & Engineering Research Facility respected surrounding historic structures while injecting modern elements, including an iconic concrete entry.
The science and engineering research facility was designed to accommodate evolving technologies and changing research projects, and included specialty labs, offices, meeting spaces, and a large auditorium. A multi-story central stair serves as an important axis for the building's programs.
