Worsham Residence

The Worsham house is one of the most elaborate of Barber McMurry's historic residential designs.

The walls are faced with honey-colored field stone and the roof is slate. The doorway, window, and chimney details are notable, closely patterned on elements of the English Tudor period. The chimney's unique, sculptural twisted styling is one of the most recognizable elements of the well-known home.

The home was originally designed for Earl G. Worsham, a contractor on many of the firm's early projects, including Church Street United Methodist.
