Cherokee Country Club Poolhouse

At Cherokee Country Club, Barber McMurry designed a new pool house across the street from the historic clubhouse, with the design echoing the iconic legacy details — turret, stucco siding, slate roof, heavy timber, and slate tile terrace.

The design emphasizes the hilltop location that offers a spectacular view of the Tennessee River. To enhance the resort-like setting, the pool house opens directly to the pool deck and outdoor dining area. Baja shelves offer lounge space, alongside a shaded adult area with built-in bench. Children can easily enter and exit through the zero-entry pool area. Additional water features include six lap lanes, a diving well, and a climbing wall.

The large pool deck includes ample space for events and an adults-only area with a firepit. The exposed timber outdoor dining terrace and bar emphasize panoramic views.

Inside the pool house are a dining facility and game room that houses pool, air hockey, foosball, bumper pool, darts, shuffleboard, table tennis, and video games.
