Ole Smoky Distillery
The design of Ole Smoky Distillery renovated the typical "vanilla box" of a shopping center into a unique and distinctive retail center for a celebrated moonshine distiller.
The exterior was carefully designed to visually erase the boundaries between indoors and out, encouraging foot traffic entering the space, while the primary entrance does double duty as a small outdoor performance area. The architectural details include reclaimed barn wood, paying homage to regional design materials, particularly the barn vernacular — honoring the rich history of Ole Smoky and its founding family, who have honed the art of whiskey-making for more than 100 years.
